For far too long, the interview process has been a hotbed of unconscious bias – we make decisions using emotions and pre-existing beliefs, rather than objective, measurable criteria that enable us to select the best candidates for the role. We rely on past behaviours to predict future outcomes, rather than seeking potential, capability and skill. Creating an inclusive interview will lead to better outcomes – candidates who are successful in the long term.
